Parliament of Catalonia
The Parliament of Catalonia is the unicameral legislature of Catalonia. It is formed by 135 members, who are elected every four years by universal suffrage.
During the Spanish Civil War the republican Parliament remains exiled. The new Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia of 1979 recognized the restoration of the Parliament. The first legislature of the current Parliament of Catalonia was elected on 20 March 1980 ( read more )
