How to get from Santa Justa Station to the center of Seville?
We will arrive by AVE from Madrid to Santa Justa Station. We are staying at the Hotel América. There are two families, and we won't fit in a single taxi. Is there any public transportation alternative to a taxi?
Another question we have is whether the typical places (Cathedral, Giralda, Plaza España, etc.) are far to walk to.
Hi Inmaculada,
getting to Hotel América from Santa Justa Station is quite easy. There's a bus line that drops you off almost at the door. When you exit Santa Justa Station, walk straight to Avenida de José Laguillo, where you'll find a bus stop. You need to take the number 32 towards Plaza del Duque. It's five stops, and when you get off the bus, you'll see an El Corte Inglés facing a square; the hotel you're going to is on the other side of that square. Buses run every 10-15 minutes and the ride takes about 10-15 minutes.
Regarding the distance to the places you mentioned, the Giralda is a 15-minute walk, and it's a very pleasant stroll. I recommend walking along the famous Sierpes Street, San Francisco, and Avenida de la Constitución. From the Cathedral to Plaza de España, it's another 15 minutes.
